Marine Boey & Ilona Desmet – DE VLUCHT

Tijdens hun residentie in 019 werken Ilona Desmet en Marine Boey verder aan De Vlucht, een dansperformance die paaldans en live muziek combineert. Vertrekkend vanuit het beeldhouwwerk De dochters van Satan van Egide Rombaux (ca. 1903), bouwen ze aan een nieuwe scenografie, repeteren dagelijks met hun installatie en experimenteren met hoe het 019-gebouw deel kan worden van de voorstelling. Daarnaast nodigen ze andere makers uit voor uitwisseling en documenteren ze hun proces in beeld en woord.

During their residency at 019, Ilona Desmet and Marine Boey are continuing work on De Vlucht, a dance performance that combines pole dance and live music. Taking inspiration from the sculpture The Daughters of Satan by Egide Rombaux (ca. 1903), they are developing a new scenography, rehearsing daily with their installation, and experimenting with how the 019 building can become part of the performance. In addition, they invite other creators for exchange and document their process through images and text.
