Studio Graphic Design x DING Vitrine

During the summer of 2024, Studio Graphic Design* will move to the DING Vitrine of Design Museum Gent. The Vitrine will function as a dynamic presentation space and workspace where the studio will actively pursue their quest for the museum’s future experimental graphic identity. Passersby will be able to follow live what the studio’s graphic designers are creating on their computers via a projection on the Vitrine’s window. In addition, the studio will also host a series public activities such as film screenings and feedback sessions. Stop by at the window this Summer and experience Studio Graphic Design’s design process up close.

*Studio Graphic Design offers a program for recently graduated graphic designers from LUCA School of Arts and KASK & Conservatory/HOGENT and Howest in which the identity of Design Museum Ghent is reviewed. During the renovation and expansion of the museum, Studio Graphic Design explores the identities a museum can take on today. Experiment, self-initiated projects and internal assignments are central with the aim of exploring different (graphic) identities. Members alternate on a regular basis. 019 and Design Museum Gent provide a professional framework throughout the process.

Tijdens de zomer van 2024 verhuist Studio Graphic Design* naar de DING Vitrine van Design Museum Gent. De Vitrine zal fungeren als een dynamische presentatie- en werkruimte waar de studio actief op zoek gaat naar de toekomstige experimentele grafische identiteit van het museum. Voorbijgangers kunnen live volgen wat de grafisch ontwerpers van de studio op hun computers creëren via een projectie op het raam van de Vitrine. Daarnaast zal de studio ook een reeks openbare activiteiten organiseren, zoals filmvertoningen en feedbacksessies. Kom deze zomer langs bij het raam en beleef het ontwerpproces van Studio Graphic Design van dichtbij.

*Studio Graphic Design biedt een programma voor recent afgestudeerde grafisch ontwerpers van LUCA School of Arts en KASK & Conservatorium/HOGENT en Howest, waarin de identiteit van Design Museum Gent wordt herzien. Tijdens de renovatie en uitbreiding van het museum verkent Studio Graphic Design de identiteiten die een museum vandaag de dag kan aannemen. Experiment, zelf geïnitieerde projecten en interne opdrachten staan centraal met als doel het verkennen van verschillende (grafische) identiteiten.
