019 PUBLIC INTERVENTIONS BIKE RIDE & ROADMAP

A new roadmap puts 12 public interventions by art collective 019 on a handy map with information about the artworks. Since 2014, 019 has been popping up on the streets of Ghent with artistic interventions. With giant flags, monumental billboards, an architectural pavilion or poetry in the Overpoort, 019 turns public space into an artistic canvas.

On Sunday 29 August, we cycle along the works of art in Ghent’s public space. Join a guided bike tour with four artists present (maximum 20 places) or pick up a map at 019 and discover the works at your own pace.

The 17 km cycle tour starts at 10:00 and lasts until 12:00. Bring: bicycle, rainwear, good mood. A drink and cookie will be provided halfway. Departure and ending point: 019, Dok-Noord 5L, 9000 GHENT.

Een nieuwe routekaart zet 12 publieke interventies van kunstencollectief 019 op een handige kaart met informatie bij de kunstwerken. Sinds 2014 duikt 019 met artistieke interventies op in het straatbeeld van Gent. Van Reuzenvlaggen en monumentale billboards tot een architecturaal paviljoen of poëzie in de Overpoort: 019 maakt van publieke ruimte een artistiek canvas.

Op zondag 29 augustus fietsen we langs de kunstwerken in de publieke ruimte van Gent. Sluit aan op een begeleide fietstocht met kunstenaars (maximum 20 plaatsen) of kom wanneer je wil een kaart ophalen in 019 en ontdek de werken op je eigen tempo.

De fietstocht van 17 km vertrekt om 10.00 uur en duurt tot 12.00 uur. Meebrengen: fiets, regenkledij, goed humeur. Een drankje en koek worden voorzien halfweg. Vertrek- en eindpunt: 019, Dok-Noord 5L, 9000 GENT.
