José Quintanar (fourteen flags)

José Quintanar (Madrid, Spain, 1984) lives and works in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He is an artist with a background in comics, and architecture. Using the book as the principal format of his work, He explores the possibilities of the drawing as a game and the ways that the drawing appears as a primary method to establish processes from rudimentary rules.
He is the founder of the publishing project, RUJA PRES.
José Quintanar is a Phd researcher at the architecture School of Madrid, UPM, where he researches the connections between architecture and publishing.
