Studio Grafisch Ontwerp invites recent graphic design graduates from LUCA School of Arts and KASK & Conservatorium to join the development of the new identity for Design Museum Gent.

While Design Museum Gent is closed for renovation, Studio Grafisch Ontwerp is exploring what a museum identity can be today. This research unfolds through collaborative (graphic) experiments, self-initiated projects, and in-house commissions. Over the coming months, the focus will be on implementing the new identity — developed by Studio Grafisch Ontwerp over the past years — and preparing for the museum’s reopening on 3 October 2026.

The composition of Studio Grafisch Ontwerp continuously evolves, with members joining and leaving in an overlapping rhythm. 019 and Design Museum Gent provide a professional framework throughout the process.

• Graduated between 2023–2026 from LUCA School of Arts or KASK & Conservatorium
• Part-time commitment for approximately 6 months
• Compensation: €524/month (BIS contract regulations)

Studio Grafisch Ontwerp biedt een programma aan voor pas afgestudeerden in grafisch ontwerp van LUCA School of Arts en KASK & Conservatorium om aan de identiteit van Design Museum Gent te bouwen.

Tijdens de renovatie van Design Museum Gent onderzoekt Studio Grafisch Ontwerp wat een museale identiteit vandaag kan zijn. Dit gebeurt via collaboratieve (grafische) experimenten, zelf-geïnitieerde projecten en interne opdrachten. In de komende maanden ligt de focus op de implementatie van de nieuwe identiteit—die de studio de voorbije jaren heeft ontwikkeld, en op de voorbereiding van de heropening van het museum op 3 oktober 2026.

De samenstelling van Studio Grafisch Ontwerp is voortdurend in beweging: leden stromen in en uit volgens een overlappend ritme. 019 en Design Museum Gent bieden het professionele kader en de begeleiding waarbinnen de studio werkt.
